I'm an illustrator, writer and educator.
In 2008 I set up a small studio and, over the years, I have been working on a broad range of interdisciplinary projects that have allowed me to explore my passion for words and pictures.
As an illustrator, I have collaborated with clients on a range of projects, including editorial work, educational materials, comics, book jackets and album art.
As a writer, I have produced resources for museums, written for design blogs; and created The Bird — a book that celebrates the great age of avian illustration. In 2016, I launched Illustration Chronicles — an ongoing web project that explores a history of illustration through a growing series of essays.
Since 2017 I have worked at Ireland's National College of Art & Design, where I lead the BA Illustration programme.
In 2014 I graduated from Kingston University, London with an MA in illustration. Prior to that, I studied History of Art and Fine Art at Ireland's National College of Art & Design.
Having lived and worked in a host of European cities, I am currently based in Ireland.
